| Newlywed Kid Rock Leaves Ex Heartbroken
The model-girlfriend Kid Rock left behind to wed Pamela Anderson has poured out her heart to the media, revealing the callous rocker ended their romance with a text message. Sexy brunette Jill Marie Gulseth dated the rocker for three months earlier this year, until he ditched her to focus on winning his former fiancee Anderson back. Kid Rock's wooing worked -- he and Anderson wed in St. Tropez, France, last weekend after a whirlwind romance. But while the rocker, real name Robert Ritchie, was celebrating his nuptials, his ex was nursing a broken heart. Gulseth tells In Touch magazine, "To be broken up with in a text was just so shocking and upsetting. I cried a lot to friends and family." The 22-year-old beauty adds, "It's not easy seeing it in the news every day.

McCain's campaign is getting used to his frontrunner status - an internal memo says he's the "de facto nominee" after Feb. 5. Former state GOP Chairman/Monroe County GOP Chairman Steve Minarik has yet to endorse McCain (he didn't back Giuliani, saying he was holding out for Bloomberg). Gov. Europe battling €100bn health fraud losses
The head of counter fraud within the NHS has told silicon.com Europe is losing tens of billions of euros each year to criminals but added that high-tech analysis and solutions are helping to turn the tide in favour of organisations such as his. Frauds by employees, patients and suppliers is rife, as is insurance fraud but Jim Gee, CEO of the NHS counter fraud and security management service, believes it is a war he can win in order to start redirecting recovered and prevented losses back into patient care. Gee told silicon.com: "Europe spends 1tr each year on healthcare provision and between three and 10 per cent of that will go astray." That equates to an unimaginable sum of between 30bn and 100bn per year. The only silver lining of such a shocking statistic said Gee is that it provides a starting point from which to begin improving matters.

As a South Carolinian (but a Democrat) I'd be amazed if Huckabee wins. Huckabee's economic populism just doesn't win there. Pat Buchanan (after his New Hampshire) win thought he'd win down here too on this SoCon/Class Warfare stuff but he didn't. Both Mark Sanford and Jim DeMint pretty much beat Social Conservatives in their respective primaries for Governor and Senator. Parker, FedEx Ground Announce Hydraulic Hybrid Joint Testing Program
CLEVELAND, Dec. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Parker Hannifin Corporation (NYSE: PH) and FedEx Ground, a unit of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) , today announced they have agreed to test a Class 6 vehicle employing hybrid hydraulic technology that seeks to improve fuel mileage by greater than 50 percent and significantly reduce engine emissions. The new vehicles will rely on a Parker series hybrid hydraulic drive that eliminates the conventional transmission, along with its weight and maintenance, while improving drive train power density.
